Bonehead Tip of the Day: Now that the Bears/Packers are playing does it mean we should stop the rhetoric? It has already started but is part of the game.
The List: Long weekend BO
1. "The Green Hornet" - $40 million
2. "The Dilemma" - $21.1 million
3. "True Grit" - $13.1 million

Notes: Let's get this out of the way right now. Weather can affect the BO as can football. They did. A weak holiday weekend has "The Green Hornet" taking the top spot. Its gross not bad, but "Dilemma" not too good. However, another movie from my TV childhood hits the big screen and I do not care. That was "The Green Hornet." One more thing, this is the time of year when my mind is focused more on the award season for films and thus, tend to forget about the recent releases. I'm not the only one.
Trivia: The phrase "frog in the throat" had an interesting beginning. In the Middle Ages frogs were placed into throats to cure infections. The head of the live frog was paced in the mouth, and as it breathed, it was said to withdraw the disease into itself. As for the toad, please do not lick.
Closer: Gov. Quinn of Illinois could be heard breathing a huge sigh of relief when the Bears won on Sunday. Now that they are playing the Packers in the NFC championship game, no one is thinking about the tax increases. Or that pesky budget hole.
