Bonehead Tip of the Day: Everybody is not a winner and we should not tell people they are. It's OK to lose. Self esteem is nice but downright awarding people for anything is a bit much.
The List: Weekend BO
1. "No Strings Attached" - $20.3 million
2. "The Green Hornet" - $18.1 million
3. "The Dilemma" - $9.7 million

Notes: No matter what you hear or read, the football games dented the box office this weekend big time. Yes, a weak BO translate into a second week for "The Dilemma" and "The Green Hornet" not falling as much as they surely could have. Now "The Mechanic" and "The Rite" hit Friday. Anthony Hopkins in "The Rite" seems fine and this weekend, no football. Wait, scratch that, the Pro Bowl is on. I know, who cares? I'm not sure why movies like "Hall Pass" make it to the big screen. Or for that matter, the little screen, or straight to DVD. The premise alone is insulting. As for the big MO for the Oscar nominations, out Tuesday morning, "The King's Speech" is my take, while "Black Swan" is right there. "The Fighter" has what it takes, too. "The Social Network" is not bad but, to me, not Best Picture material. Sure, it may win since it has nabbed many early awards already, but "King's Speech" is perfect for Oscar. One more thing. Where did "Idol" get that 59 million number in their commercial for season 10 premiere? That would be higher than the football games this year and so far, no one is coming close to those games. The show was down from last year's premiere of season 9, so no way.
Trivia: David brought five stones with him when he fought Goliath. Interestingly enough, one of them was Keith Richards. When it started raining, Noah was 600 years old, plus two months and 17 days. During the deluge, he could be heard screaming, "Will you shut that door. Were you born in a barn"?
Closer: I know the weather is always worse out east. Man oh man.
