bTimber Lake Playhouse (TLP) will present a one-night-only interactive viewing of the classic 1975 film, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Several TLP stars return to Mount Carroll to lead the interactive sing-a-long while the movie plays in the background. The movie is RATED R- Children under 17 are not allowed to attend R-rated motion pictures unaccompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Run time for the movie is approximately two hours. AMC FEARFEST
NEW YORK – October 11, 2011 – AMC announces the launch of its annual AMC FEARFEST, the most highly anticipated horror movie marathon of the Halloween season, on Sunday, October 16. The 16-day virtual film festival, which kicks off with the 90-minute premiere of “The Walking Dead” season two, celebrates the best in contemporary and classic horror genre films. Hosted by the “Master of Horror,” George A. Romero, AMC FEARFEST 2011 will introduce the AMC 14-part original mini-documentary series, “American Haunters,” and feature over 300 hours of Halloween themed programming of more than 60 films, including the world television premiere of Romero’s own Survival of the Dead. In addition to the on-air festivities, AMC FEARFEST will feature daily online interactive movie trivia games inviting horror movie fans to take quizzes, earn badges and challenge friends via Facebook. AMC FEARFEST begins Sunday, October 16th at 9 PM with the season two premiere of “The Walking Dead” and concludes Tuesday, October 31st.

AMC FEARFEST invites viewers to take a behind-the-scenes look at Kevin McCurdy’s Haunted Mansion, a real commercial haunted house that features a series of 13 horror-themed rooms. The 14-part original mini-documentary series is set to air every week night at 8 PM & 10 PM.

Davenport Parks and Recreation and The Friends of Credit Island will be having the third annual “Haunted Island” on Credit Island. The Spooky fun begins a two night event, Saturday October 8th & Saturday October 22nd. Start your night out at 7 PM with Vera Blevins, wildlife rehabilitator, of Hartland Bat World. She will inform you on the good things bats do for us and will have her live bats to share. There will a $1 entrance fee for 3 years and up taken at the door. After the bat presentation about 8pm, you can take a hayrack ride around the island, be prepared to be scared and sit by the campfire and listen to a Story Teller for a separate fee. There will be concessions available in the Lodge.
