Eyewitness, me: As a semi-truck attempted to make a right turn onto East Third Street in Rock Falls this afternoon, it failed to make it. However, some reports had the truck as turned over and that was not the case. The truck failed to finish the right hand turn as it split open about a quarter down. The contents of the truck did not spill onto the roadway but the roof has become unattached and is flapping in the wind, at times. Workers are putting a hydraulic under the bed to balance it. Still at it. It seems as if when the turn was attempted the contents shifted and the weight caused a perforation and split. 3:30 p.m. Truck now off in one lane but traffic still not allowed on E. Third. Another truck is offloading contents into it. When towing truck into one lane, felt like quake swarms of about 1-2 on the Richter scale. Much like when truck first turned corner - - a little quake hit.
